Overview:
Pharmacology is a branch of medicine and is concerned with the science of drugs including their origin, composition, pharmacokinetics, therapeutic use, and toxicology, the properties, and reactions of drugs especially with relation to their therapeutic value. The department provides the students with the knowledge of different types of drugs and their effects and works actively to contribute towards the establishment of the national health goals. The department trained the students to develop a modern outlook so that they can handle any situation. The department envisages the application of pharmacodynamics to therapeutics and to acquire the basic principles necessary for the rational use of drugs in daily practice.

- Well Equipped Clinical Pharmacology laboratory
- Museum with charts, drug specimens, catalogs, portraits of eminent scientists, and charts depicting historical development in pharmacology

- Animal house having sufficient numbers of experimental animals of different species to be used for various research activities
- Computer Assisted Learning Laboratory along with Software simulator for studying experimental pharmacology
- Well Equipped Research Laboratory
