Plastic & Reconstructive Surgery
The Plastic and reconstructive Surgery department sets the standard for cosmetic surgery, reconstructive surgery, hair transplantation and related procedures. It is the first department al in the state and 7th centre in the entire country to be accredited for 3 years super specialty DNB course in Plastic Surgery. Our plastic surgeons aim at improving each patient’s appearance using sophisticated techniques and artistic skills. Modern treatment options in Shija allow plastic surgeons to achieve significant improvements in both form and function. The department specializes in cosmetic procedures for both men and women.
The department, in collaboration with the Smile Train Inc. based in New York, USA launched a program called Smile Train Shija Cleft Project on 11th of June 2006 to render free quality corrective surgeries to patients with cleft lip and palate from the age of 6 months onwards. Under this project, the patients are not charged for the surgeries, diagnostics and accommodation. Additional services include speech therapy, nursing care, counseling, and rehabilitation services which are also provided free.
