Wonders of Orthodontics
- Lingual Orthodontics: A branch of dentistry which specializes in the diagnosis, prevention and treatment of problems in alignment of teeth and jaws. Lingual braces are attached to the inside or lingual side of the teeth which makes them completely non-visible. Lingual orthodontics particularly well-suited for adults whose professions keep them in the public eyes.
- Myofunctional therapy: is a treatment that aims at establishing and improving the correct functions of oral and facial muscles so that normal growth and development of the teeth may take place.
- Wilkodontics: a new procedure by which teeth can be moved approximately 4 times faster than ever before possible with conventional orthodontics Because of its dense nature, bone changes very slowly. These changes in bone are called the remodeling process. By performing a minor procedure, the dense and hard bone is softened, accelerating the remodeling process. It is this process of accelerated bone remodeling that sets the Wilkodontics system apart from conventional orthodontics.
- Clear Aligner: Apart from the advantages on cosmetic grounds, it also reduces the damage on supporting tissues and gums. Conventional tooth straightening metal braces takes about 3 – 5 years, aligners take only 1 – 1.5 years for the whole treatment. Also it is noted that metal braces shorten the teeth roots, making them weak and vulnerable. But when you take aligners for teeth, very less force is used and hence there are no side effects and also no pain is involved. Aligners are clear and almost unnoticeable. They are easily removable by the user itself and hence you have the advantage of removing them, if you don’t want to feel conscious in a really important social event.
