ICC North East Excellence Award

Dear Dr. Palin,

I take the privilege of writing to you regarding the 5^th North East Business Summit and the North East Excellence Awards for 2009.

As you may be aware, Indian Chamber of Commerce with the help & guidance of the Ministry of DoNER has taken several initiatives in promotion of North East of India which includes both National & International conferences, exhibitions, cultural shows, and every time has opened up new avenues for the people of North East in Trade & Investment.

In continuation of this unprecedented effort, ICC has instituted the ‘North East Excellence Awards’ for recognizing the contributions of the organizations and individuals working towards Economic & Social Development of North East of India and who have achieved “Excellence” in their respective fields. The awards will be announced and given away at the Inaugural Session of the 5^th North East Business Summit on 8th January, 2010 at Hyatt Regency, Kolkata in the presence of an august gathering including Hon’ble Minister for DoNER Shri Bijoy Krishna Handique and Chief Ministers of NE States.

It gives me immense pleasure to inform you that the Panel of Jury members who screened the nominations were unanimous in their views that you be conferred the “North East Excellence Award” for Enterpreneur for 2009. May I also have the honour of inviting you to Kolkata to be with us on this momentous occasion on 8^th January, 2010 and to receive the Award. The program schedule is attached for your reference.
