We believe that professional nursing is charged with overall responsibility for giving care and those who assist in giving care, wherever and whenever, it becomes necessary to satisfy the nursing needs of people. We believe that our conceptual approach to curriculum provides opportunities for relating scientific, abstract and professional knowledge in identifying and delaying with nursing problems, assessing health needs, making clinical judgments and initiating or sustaining nursing intervention in the care of individuals and families.
We believe that our curriculum is sufficiently flexible to provide for the changing needs of students and the consumers of nursing and will serve as an acceptable basic preparation for nursing study.
We believe that professional nursing practice demands a high degree of competency and responsibility and involves decision making at a level which requires perceptual and cognitive ability. It includes creating and initiating new methods based on current research.
